If You've Ever Wondered, Wondered Whatever Became of Me....
The Airwaves won't be the same without you, Dr. Johnny Fever.
Thank You for all the medicine you've doled out these many years.
Let's go back to that scene in the control booth that started it all:
"All right, Cincinnati, it is time for this town to get down! You've got Johnny...Doctor Johnny Fever, and I am burnin' up in here! Whoa! Whoo! We all in critical condition, babies, but you can tell me where it hurts, because I got the healing prescription here from the big 'KRP musical medicine cabinet. Now I am talking about your 50,000 watt intensive care unit, babies! So just sit right down, relax, open your ears real wide and say, "Give it to me straight, Doctor. I can take it!"
Then he starts the station's first rock record, dons his sunglasses and triumphantly adds,
"I almost forgot, fellow babies: BOOGER!"
Howard Hesseman, you will be missed for this and all of the other memorable and meaningful characters you played and for all the laughter you brought us.
